“Is there a pilot onboard?” You’d hope so! And more often than not, there are two. Whether transporting passengers or cargo, a career as an airline pilot is one plenty of us dream about.

Fun fact

What do pilots eat in the air? Well, they’ve got a lot more choice than the passengers sitting behind them... Indeed, spending 15 or 16 days per month in the air, they probably deserve it. They’re certainly offered more than an overpriced meal deal... But most importantly, pilots and their co-pilots never eat the same dish. To avoid the risk of the whole crew coming down with food poisoning, flight crews always have different meals. That’s one way to keep everything under control!
