The material helps absorb shocks and relieve pressure on the joints. In top-flight athletics, some see the technology as cheating, that there’s a certain line you shouldn’t cross between technological advances and physical performance... but for the average runner, no longer having sore knees is certainly not a development to complain about... The inventor of these shoes, Christian Freschi, guarantees over 2,000km of use “without any drop in performance”. Enough for a few laps of the local park yet!
