There are two main ways to get careers support from the teams at ULaw:

1. Book an appointment with an adviser via the portal https://ulaw.jobteaser.com/en/v2/appointments

Our Careers Advisors are here to support you with all career related enquiries. We can help by reviewing your CV or covering letter, assist with interview preparation or provide mock interviews, and provide advice about your career direction.

Career appointments available are either face to face or remotely, and you can book an appointment under the following options:

  • Liverpool Campus – Careers Appointment (30 minutes) - In Campus
  • Liverpool Campus – Careers Appointment (30 minutes) - Remote
  • Liverpool Campus – Careers Appointment (45 minutes) - In Campus
  • Liverpool Campus – Careers Appointment (45 minutes) - Remote

If you are a new starter, these 30 min slots are perfect for you to have a CV or cover letter review or a strategy discussion, while the 45 mins slots are better suited to application reviews or mock interviews.

Students can book anytime up to 19 days in advance through the Employability Portal (dependant on availability)

How to Book:

  1. Click through to the ‘Appointments’ tab at the top right hand side of the screen
  2. Use the ‘Select your location’ filter and choose ULaw Liverpool as this will ensure you speak to an advisor within your local campus
  3. Select a date and time slot that suits you
  4. Add any comments about what you would like to discuss during your meeting, and make sure to add a telephone number if you have booked a remote appointment. Here is where you can also attach any documents that would be relevant to your meeting.
  5. Simply click ‘Send Request’ to book your appointment. You will receive a confirmation email after you’ve booked plus reminder emails closer to the date and time of your appointment.

Note: Students are eligible to book one appointment a week, subject to availability. Double bookings will only proceed via careers consultant recommendation. There is an automatic restriction on booking more than one careers appointment in any 7 day period. This will not prevent you from making appointments outside that window or following up on an appointment with an email.

2. Email the careers team with your CV, application or careers question

This is quick and easy, just email [email protected] and attach any relevant documents (please ensure they are Word format) and we will email the advice back to you within 5 working days.

If you are enrolled on a course based in a physical campus, but you have changed to an online option as a temporary measure, e.g. due to concerns or restrictions regarding physical access to the campus, you should continue to book appointments on the portal by selecting the physical campus, first, and then the appropriate appointment.
