Quick tips for successful exam preparation
With the exams coming up, we wanted to share some study tips to support you in getting through this period as efficiently as possible. So, we spoke with some of our interns and Arthur, a current Deloitter and student in business administration. Here’s what they had to say!
To start with, a healthy lifestyle is very important. Moving regularly, but also taking the time to relax, will help you concentrate better. Going for a walk or run with a friend is a great way to do both at the same time.
Another tip is to make a study schedule. But, don’t be too hard on yourself if you don’t manage to stick to the plan. Some topics might require more time than expected. Including some buffer days is a great way to avoid unnecessary stress.
And remember that you’re not alone. If you don’t understand something, ask your friends or fellow students for help. They get to practice their knowledge and you get clarity, which is a win-win. By learning from each other, you can really unlock your full potential. That’s what we do at Deloitte too. We invest in our people’s growth, and we are working hard to make Deloitte a true coaching organisation, ensuring that everyone gets the support they need to thrive.
Arthur, who combines his full-time job with studying and therefore knows how important it is to have a schedule, suggests really listening in class and understanding what you are studying. He also recommends the Pomodoro Technique: study with full concentration for 25 minutes, take a 5-minute break, and repeat.
Also, don’t forget to revise! Revising is really important to keep all the information in your long-term memory. Moreover, it can help boost your confidence as you will be well prepared.
Last but not least, choose the perfect place to study. Don’t know where to go? We’ve got you covered!
