METRO Potentials Training Week Recap
What an incredible two weeks of growth and learning at METRO! 🎓
In July, we welcomed our METRO Potentials Trainees to our headquarters in Düsseldorf for a two-week programme packed with insights into leadership skills, design thinking, innovation, and functional expertise.
Week 1 was dedicated to transformative leadership workshops. Jin Chyung Keudel's "Working Across Cultures" equipped participants with essential cross-cultural skills for their international assignments. Val Sedounik's "Design Thinking" encouraged creative thinking and innovation. Eric Vautrin's "Leading Change" emphasized fostering a culture of innovation, managing resistance, and implementing strategic changes. During these sessions, trainees tackled real-life challenges faced by METRO countries, turning obstacles into opportunities.
One of the highlights was a field trip to sipgate in Düsseldorf, where our trainees explored the company's innovative culture and product solutions.
Week 2 shifted focus to functional skills. Dr. Marc Rößler (Roessler) and Christian Kramm provided deep insights into Finance, Jelena Vaslic delved into Assortment Building, and Diana Bratosin along with Nataliya Kovpak shared expertise on Own Brands. These sessions offered valuable strategic insights that participants can implement in their daily roles.
The weeks were also rich with networking opportunities. Our trainees connected with top senior leaders including Guillaume Deruyter, Gautheron Nicolas, Herve Streifer, Bertrand Mothe, Sabrina Ley, Sangeeta Pandey, and Tomasz Kiewisz.
