  From Classroom to Code: Empowering Tomorrow’s Innovators

  60 students, 30 robot cars, and one mission: bridging the skills gap through hands-on learning. The Ernest Solvay Fund believes that innovation starts in the classroom. Through our support of initiatives in STEM, Planet Progress, and Better Life, we aim to empower the communities where we live and work. Recently, our 2025 awardee ThinkYoung brought this mission to life at Collège Notre-Dame de la Paix Erpent. It was a day of robotics and digital discovery that went far beyond building "owl cars" and programming sensors. It was about watching students collaborate, troubleshoot, and think on their feet. The energy was contagious as they moved from basic assembly to coding autonomous cars, proving just how much talent is waiting to be unlocked when given the right tools. To keep that momentum, several robotic kits were donated to the school’s STEM lab, ensuring students and teachers have the resources to keep exploring and creating every day.

  Solvay Recognized for Leading Sustainable Finance Practices

  Solvay is honored to be recognized by Global Capital, receiving the 2025 Investment Grade Sustainability-Linked Loan (SLL) of the Year award alongside RWE. What makes this more than "just another loan"? This recognition highlights a key step in our financial strategy and a core component of our For Generations sustainability program. While many SLLs focus on Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions, we chose to go further by embedding Scope 3 into our credit facility KPIs. Scope 3 is notoriously difficult to track and even harder to control. By linking our borrowing costs directly to verified progress across Scope 1, 2, and 3, we are moving beyond intent and into accountability. We are grateful to our coordinating banks, BNP Paribas and Bank of America, for their partnership in aligning our capital structure with our decarbonization roadmap. Through these performance-linked incentives, our lenders actively support our journey and reinforce our collective commitment to achieving these ambitious sustainability goals.

  A Team Effort for Nature: Inside Solvay’s RE‑TERRE Biodiversity Project

  In La Rochelle, six hectares of unused land are transforming into a thriving sanctuary through Solvay’s RE-TERRE biodiversity project! Instead of mechanical mowers, a flock of 80 sheep now manages the landscape through eco-grazing, while a newly planted micro-forest of over 1,200 trees provides a lush canopy for the future. By adding specialized nesting spaces and shelters, we’re ensuring local wildlife has a permanent place to call home. This wasn’t just a corporate initiative - it was a team effort, with more than 80 employees and partners recently getting their hands dirty to plant trees and bring this vision to life. It’s a powerful reminder that when we give nature the space it needs, it will always return the favor.

  Strength in Unity: Solvay Becomes an Official Partner of Belgian Rugby

  We are proud to become the official partner of the Belgian Rugby Federation. A collaboration rooted in our For Generations sustainability roadmap and its "Better Life" pillar. By supporting the men national teams including Rugby 7, the under 20 teams and the referee community, we are fostering inclusion and creating a lasting positive impact in the communities where we live and work. Attending a match with the federation, our CEO Philippe Kehren felt a clear connection between an ultimate team sport such as rugby and the collective strength required to achieve a common goal. This partnership honors the humanistic vision of our founder, Ernest Solvay, by investing in social progress and collective well-being. Together, we’re pushing forward. For the game, for the community, and for generations to come.

  A different kind of day at Solvay

  Hi everyone, I’m Henrique, an employer branding trainee at Solvay, and today I’m  going to share a different kind of day in my life here. I recently had the chance to spend a few days in Brussels with my team at Solvay’s headquarters. Working in employer branding means telling the stories behind the work. Being there in person gave me a different perspective on that. Conversations are different when you’re sitting around the same table, exchanging ideas and learning from each other.   Making Communities Safer: Solvay’s 13‑Year Impact in Rayong

  10,000 helmets. 13 years. One commitment to safety. ⛑️ Solvay’s commitment doesn’t stop at our site’s entrance. It extends directly into the communities where we live and work! We’ve reached a major milestone through the Siam Solvay Foundation, delivering over 10,000 high-quality helmets to students across Rayong. In a region where motorcycles are involved in over 80% of road incidents and helmet use among youth is alarmingly low, we launched the "Safety Life, Wear Helmets to School" project in 2013 to protect our most vulnerable neighbors. For over a decade, this initiative has been a long-term mission to foster a culture of safety and support the "Rayong 100% Helmet Policy." This is about more than just giving away equipment. It is about consistent, local action to protect the next generation. The impact of our decade-long dedication is clear. In the areas where we are active, we have seen a consistent decline in road-related fatalities among participating students, even as traffic density in this industrial hub continues to grow. We believe that every child deserves a safe journey to school, and we are honored to play a role in making that a reality.

  Shaping the Next Generation of Sustainable Tire Materials

  We believe tire manufacturers shouldn’t have to choose between hitting ambitious sustainability targets and maintaining top-tier technical performance. 🌍 Following the successful inauguration of Europe’s first bio-circular silica facility at our Italian site and the startup of waste sand silica in Asia with planned worldwide roll out, we are excited to showcase Zeosil® Highly Dispersible Silica (HDS). HDS drives the global transition by enhancing circularity and cutting CO2 emissions. This is Solvay’s active role in shaping the future of sustainable mobility and anticipating upcoming regulations. With innovation embedded in our DNA and by leveraging our Zeosil® specialty grades, we provide solutions with unrivaled performance especially for extended EV battery range. We are proud to be participating in the Tire Technology Expo, where our team is showcasing our latest innovations in circularity drop‑in solutions and High Surface Area Silica for EV and Truck applications.

This offered the opportunity to appreciate the precision and responsibility behind the operations that support our entire supply chain. Across all locations, our teams are bringing our Star Factory vision to life. Advances in digitalization and operational excellence show that Rosignano is not only embracing the future of industry but leading it through strong local know how and continuous innovation.
