What we believe in : European Disability Employment Week

Step into Someone Else’s Shoes: Raising Awareness During European Disability Employment Week |
In November 2024, we participated in European Disability Employment Week with a workshop. But this was no ordinary workshop—we dived headfirst into a 20-minute VR experience that helped open our eyes and understand the challenges people with disabilities face.
What’s the Big Idea?
Picture this: You strap on a VR headset and, in seconds, you’re going through the daily challenges of people with invisible disabilities. Here's what we experienced:
🎧 Struggling to follow conversations as someone with hearing loss
💭 Navigating the world with a mental health condition
🔤 Reading through the lens of dyslexia
It wasn’t just about seeing but also feeling. The frustration, the misunderstandings, and, the subtle (and not-so-subtle) discrimination people with invisible disabilities face every day.
Quiz Time: How Much Do You Really Know?
Before the workshop, we took a quick quiz to test our knowledge about invisible disabilities. After the VR experience, we took a follow-up quiz and were blown away by just how much we learned in those 20 minutes.
Why This Matters
Invisible disabilities are often misunderstood or ignored. This workshop wasn’t just about awareness; it was about building empathy and showing that we can all do better. A little understanding goes a long way in breaking down barriers and creating a workplace where everyone feels supported.
Our studios offer services based on the needs of their employees, but many of them also share similar features, such as ergonomic workstations, flexible working hours, accessible offices, and more. They also hosted various initiatives in November in support of accessibility and disability awareness for European Disability Employment Week.
What’s Next?
This was just the start. We’re committed to keeping the conversation going and rolling out more initiatives that challenge assumptions and inspire change because inclusion isn’t optional—it’s essential.
