VAHLE AUTOMATION GmbH is part of the VAHLE Group, which produces customised energy and data transmission systems for mobile industrial applications.
VAHLE Automation - the innovation centre in Tyrol

The VAHLE Group, based in Kamen, Germany, has become the world market leader in energy and data transmission systems in its more than 100-year company history.

In 2017, VAHLE Automation was established as an innovation and development centre in Schwoich near Kufstein. The competence centre for automation solutions in the heart of Tyrol is also in demand as a TOP employer.

The VAHLE Group is a system supplier for energy and communication systems. Its core business lies in rail-guided and freely navigating transport vehicles, which are supplied with contactless energy and data for control and positioning in crane, conveyor, harbour and warehouse technology. Other business areas include customer-specific operating terminals, camera-based sensor technology, railway and lift technology, as well as powering amusement park rides. The VAHLE Group can look back on a long history of success: In 1912, Paul Vahle launched the first copper conductor rail on the market, laying the foundation for a company that offers its products and services in 52 countries worldwide.

‘Automation and digitalisation are becoming increasingly important,’ emphasises Achim Dries, Managing Director of Paul Vahle GmbH & Co. KG. ‘With our research and development department at the headquarters in Kamen, VAHLE Automation in Tyrol forms a technology axis to drive forward the development of smart system solutions for the digital world.’

Lighthouse projects from Dubai to Singapore

The VAHLE Group regularly causes a stir with international lighthouse projects. One of the most recent projects is the world's largest and tallest observation wheel, the Ain Dubai, which went into operation for EXPO 2021. A few years earlier, the world's second-largest Ferris wheel, the Singapore Flyer, had already been energised. In the past, the largest harbour in England, Felixstowe, was completely electrified and automated. The same applies to the world's first fully automated container terminal in the port of Laem Chabang in Thailand - another superlative project by VAHLE.
