Founded and headquartered in Cambridge, UK, Darktrace was started by mathematicians and cyber defense experts in 2013. The company was the first to develop and commercialize AI for cyber security, under the leadership of CTO Jack Stockdale OBE. The software engineering team has twice been recognized by the Royal Academy of Engineering’s prestigious innovation prize, the MacRobert Award in 2017 and 2019.
