Each year, it takes on university graduates to train them for a successful career as a solicitor, legal technology specialist or business consultant: and it all starts with their internship programme.

What does Allen & Overy do?

Allen & Overy, also known as A&O, is an international law firm that also provides business consulting services in addition to extensive legal services. Their clients are among some of the largest businesses in the world. It has featured in the top three of the Financial Times Innovative Law Firm list every year – coming in at number one a total of six times.

What is the A&O vacation internship scheme?

Taking place in the summer or winter holidays, the A&O internship scheme is designed to give you a broad overview of the company’s culture and work. You’ll be working alongside the firm’s lawyers on real cases, attending learning events and building your professional network. The scheme is open to final- and penultimate-year students on any degree programme. Compensation of £450 per week is provided and all successful internship applicants will be considered for a training or graduate scheme position.

2:1 in any undergraduate degree (or on track to gain one)
ABB/136 UCAS points or equivalent at A-level
