Unilever’s graduate programme – a path to leadership
Unilever’s graduate scheme is special in its focus on leadership development and job diversity. In addition to training, you’ll do a number of work placements and role rotations. This means you’ll finish the programme with an outstanding breadth of experience as well as specialised skills for the future.
What does Unilever do?
One of the world’s largest consumer goods companies, Unilever is the name behind food, home cleaning, personal care and beauty brands like Ben & Jerry’s, Dove, Domestos and Hellmann’s! Unilever brands are available in over 190 countries, with 3.4 billion people using their products every day.
Unilever’s graduate scheme – what’s involved?
The company has a dedicated three-year graduate scheme called the Unilever Future Leaders Programme (UFLP). Its aim is to prepare recent graduates for business leadership roles. The programme has a particularly diverse approach: in addition to the formal training you’d usually expect of graduate schemes, it involves a variety of work placements and role rotations with hands-on experience as well as diverse skills workshops. This means you’ll get an exceptionally broad overview of the activities in your chosen sector as well as targeted skills development with a leadership focus. Depending on your sector, you’ll also have the option to complete further education and professional qualifications.
Will I be supported?
The programme features individual mentoring via a career sponsor. You’ll also have the support of your teams and can take advantage of the informal buddy system. Your voice is valued right from the start: with the non-hierarchical structure, everyone in the team has a say. And before you even start work, the Unilever dedicated onboarding team will make your transition from uni life to the world of work a breeze.
