Vodafone graduate schemes – opening up a world of opportunity

Vodafone is a British telecommunications company with over 300 million global customers. It’s the largest mobile and fixed network operator in Europe and has a presence in 69 countries. The  company has nine graduate programmes each focusing on different areas of the business. Let’s take a look at what’s involved.

Business Sales graduate scheme

This is an 18-month scheme to help you develop your technical and sales skills and work your way towards an account management role.

Business graduate scheme

Over this two-year programme, you’ll rotate across varying functions to find your best fit, including Customer Operations, Strategy & Whole, Commercial and Corporate functions (e.g. marketing, HR).

Technology graduate scheme

This extensive and challenging graduate programme lets you specialise right from the start in either software engineering, network engineering, security, or big data and analytics. Whichever stream you choose, you’ll receive in-depth training and work on real, meaningful projects.

Digital graduate scheme

This two-year scheme involves multiple rotations including content, UX and app design as well as analytics and programme management. You’ll finish the programme with a range of flexible skills for a successful career in digital services.

Consumer graduate scheme

The focus here is on the customer: from marketing and retail operations to products and branding, there’ll be plenty to cover during your rotations so can gain a wide variety of skills and find what interests you most.

Data graduate scheme

For a great start in a career in data and analytics, this programme focuses on designing and building analytics and automation solutions. You’ll get to work on projects with the Commercial or Finance teams and master an array of transferrable skills.

Human Resources graduate scheme

Resourcing, organisation, training and internal communications are all areas you could learn about during your HR rotations. This will enable you to develop the skills needed for a rewarding career in personnel management.

Finance graduate scheme

An extensive three-year programme, the finance scheme at Vodafone involves working towards a CIMA qualification and experiencing a range of finance roles.

External Affairs graduate scheme

This area of business is all about managing the company’s reputation and maintaining relationships with external partners. This two-year programme involves rotations through areas like sustainability, corporate security, regulatory and public affairs.
